Meet Tommy

Born and raised in and around district three, Tommy Hunter has spent most of his career focused on serving Gwinnett County.

Tommy has served as DOT Coordinator for the Department of Public Utilities where he designed and managed the relocation of public utilities for all road construction projects managing approximately $300 million in DOT funds.  Mr. Hunter also served over four years as a member of the Gwinnett County Water and Sewerage Authority, serving as Secretary of the Authority in 2008.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with a Specialization in Transportation Planning.  He currently works as an engineering consultant with a local infrastructure construction company and owns two small businesses.

Tommy lives in Buford with his wife Judith and their two children, Lauren and Devin. The family attends Harmony Baptist church where Tommy has served as a Sunday school teacher since 2007.
